NEMT Driver (Non-Emergency Medical Transportation)
Job Overview: We are seeking compassionate, safety-conscious individuals to join our team as NEMT Drivers. You will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, or specialized care facilities. Your role is vital in ensuring that our passengers, including those with special needs, behavioral challenges, or disabilities, are transported comfortably and with the utmost care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport clients to medical appointments.
- Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off services.
- Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle, offering help to those with mobility challenges.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch regarding schedules, routes, and any updates.
- Follow company protocols for safety and security, especially when transporting patients with behavioral health needs.
- Keep accurate logs of trips and maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in NEMT or a similar field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism.
- First aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Secure Transport Driver
Job Overview: We are looking for experienced and dedicated Secure Transport Drivers to provide safe, secure, and compassionate transportation for individuals with behavioral health conditions. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during transport, taking extra precautions when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide secure transportation for patients with behavioral health conditions or those under specialized care.
- Work closely with healthcare providers and dispatch to ensure the smooth, safe transport of individuals requiring additional care.
- Implement appropriate safety measures to prevent incidents or accidents during transport.
- Communicate clearly with passengers to ease any concerns and provide a calm environment.
- Document trips, patient conditions, and any noteworthy incidents.
- Maintain the vehicle’s condition and ensure compliance with all safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in secure or behavioral health transport.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to handle sensitive situations.
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in high-stress situations.
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Training in mental health first aid, or a willingness to be trained.
